I started my teaching career in 1975 at Marlborough Infant School, Smallheath (this had actually been my first school as a child). Later I was promoted to scale one teacher at Lyndon Green Junior School - responsible for Art/ Design and display. From Lyndon Green went to Arden School ,Redhill school (where I opened the nursery unit with Estelle Morris and Tim Brighouse as guests in 1987),Kings Norton Nursery School and finally Head Teacher at Gracelands school in Sparkbrook.

Highlight of my career - being seconded to Birmingham Jewellery Quarter Museum where I produced the first set of teacher notes/project cards.

I have broken my elbow and neck but completed EEL Action Research on Outdoor Play working with Profs Pascall and Bertram-(Worcester Uni).I have worked for Top Start delivering Physical development workshops all over Birmingham with Yvonne Gandy. I did my NPQH whilst at Gradelands - during which I had streptococol poisoning and spent a month in a coma.

I retired 2013 and am currently secretary for Soilhull WI,Throwing pots at the MAC,Shirley U3A, looking after Grandchild and singing in a choir. I also continue to teach in various nursery /primary schools in Birmingham as a supply teacher.
