ADVICE for parents who are struggling to stay on top of food, housing and energy bills.
If parents or carers are struggling with gas and electricity payments during the lock down then please contact your energy supplier and talk to them about your current situation. Many companies are able to offer payment plans and emergency supplies if you have an electric or gas meter with payment by cards / tokens.
The Project Birmingham
If you are struggling with debt, homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, or just really confused by the benefits system and you live in Birmingham then The Project (formerly South Birmingham Young Homeless Project) can help you.
The scheme understands what a struggle it can be to make ends meet and how quickly things can spiral out of control and the devastating effects this can have on individuals and families. It's there to provide advice, sign posting and practical support.

Finally, if you are struggling with accessing food or are struggling to afford food please contact Nursery and ask to speak with your child's key worker or Miss Foster. We can help by putting you in contact with agencies that can support you including local food banks.
At the current time life has changed for everyone and people are experiencing current as well as new difficulties. If you are having any difficulties, then please contact the relevant support agencies or Nursery. We are always here to support our children and their families as much as we can.
