Children learn about healthy eating during Cookathon

THE children had a souper time this week as they took part in Health for Life's Cookathon.

 

The event was a chance to celebrate winter cooking by making some delicious soup and sharing it out with others.

This year, Birmingham's Michelin starred super-chef Glynn Purnell created a tasty and warming special recipe. 

Children also added other ingredients to add a personal touch to the soup. All of the groups took part preparing the vegetables with utensils from our Cooking Station and added seasoning and then sampled this tasty treat.

Thousands of pupils from across the city took part on the event, which was held at 10am on Tuesday. While our second half of the week groups also made the soup as well.

Health for Life is a partnership between Birmingham Services for Education and Mondelez International to promote healthy living in children.
